Search & AI Visibility for
Custom Home Builders and Remodelers
Search has changed.
Search has changed in the last two years, and most builders and design-build remodeling firms are feeling it.
Homeowners still search, but how they search is completely different. Increasingly, they ask ChatGPT, Google’s AI answers, or whatever’s built into their phone, and they get back a short list of three or four firms. No longer ten blue links. They get a recommendation or in many cases, an entire answer that never results in a click. It’s called zero-click, and it’s turning marketing on its head.
If your firm isn't on that list, you're not losing to a competitor with a better bid.
You're losing before the conversation starts, to a firm who is more visible than you.
Traditional SEO still matters. It's just no longer the whole job.
Here’s what surprises people: it’s usually not a traffic problem. Most of the firms I work with have a website that gets visitors. What they don’t have is a site that gives these AI searches anything worth citing. The pages don’t contain real projects, real numbers, and real answers to the questions homeowners actually ask.
That's a visibility problem ... and it's exactly what I fix.
Fixing it starts with knowing what’s actually wrong. Every engagement begins with a diagnosis of your AI search visibility — and there are two, depending on which question is on your mind.
The Visibility Baseline Audit
An AI search visibility and SEO audit for builders and remodelers
The Question It Answers
Where do I actually stand right now?
First, I look at what’s happening out in search: whether AI and traditional search results are recommending you at all, which of your services you’re visible for and which you’re invisible for, and who’s being recommended instead of you.
Then, I read your actual pages. Your home page, your about page, and your top service pages, reviewed three ways: whether they’re built to be found (SEO), whether they turn a visitor into a conversation (conversion), and whether they give an AI assistant anything worth citing (AI visibility). Most of the time, the gap out in search traces directly back to something on the page.
You’ll get five specific things you can act on immediately, designed to hand over to whoever manages your site.
Who This Is For
You have a website that’s been running for a few years, and you don’t have a clear read on whether it’s working. Maybe leads slowed down. Maybe someone told you AI search is going to matter, and you’d like a real answer rather than a sales pitch. You’re not ready to commit to a direction; you want to know what’s true first.
Not For You If…
You already know exactly what’s broken and you want a plan for fixing it. Start with the Roadmap.
What You Get
A 60-minute Zoom review where I walk you through exactly what I found: your visibility, your real competition, and what’s driving the gap. You leave with a one-page summary of the findings and the five things to act on now.
Investment: $395
TIMEFRAME: About a week after you’ve completed the questionnaire
The Visibility Roadmap
An SEO and AI search visibility plan built around your services and capacity
The Question It Answers
I know I’m not showing up the way I should. What do I do about it, and in what order?
This starts where the Audit ends … and keeps going.
This is not a spot check but a full diagnostic across the services that matter to you, in the markets you actually want to work in. A content review that goes deeper into the rest of what you’ve published, read the same three ways: for search, for conversion, and for whether an AI assistant can use it.
Then the competitive piece: not who you think you’re up against, but who is actually being recommended when a homeowner asks. Those are frequently not the same firms, and that gap is usually where the answer is.
And then the part that’s gold: a sequenced plan. What to fix first, what to build next, and what to leave alone. Built around your actual capacity and goals, not a wish list.
Who This Is For
You’ve already figured out something’s wrong. Maybe you’re getting the wrong leads, or the right leads at the wrong price point. Maybe you’re invisible for the service line you most want to grow. You may have tried content before and gotten nothing back from it. You don’t need convincing that this matters — you need to know where to spend your effort so it counts.
Not For You If…
You want someone to start producing content immediately. The Roadmap comes first, and it exists so we don’t spend a year making the wrong thing.
What You Get
A written 6-month roadmap you can actually work from: findings, priorities, and a sequence with reasoning attached, so you understand why the order is the order. Plus the working sessions to build it and a Zoom call to walk through the finished plan. It’s yours to keep whether or not we ever work together again.
Investment: $2,400
TIMEFRAME: Three to four weeks.
Not sure which one you need?
That’s a normal place to be, and it’s a short 20-minute conversation, no pitch. Tell me what you’re seeing: where your leads are coming from, what’s slowed down, which part of your business you want more of.
I’ll tell you which of these two makes sense, or if neither does. I turn away work that isn’t a fit more often than you’d expect, and I keep a small client list on purpose. I’d rather send you somewhere useful than sell you a diagnosis you don’t need.
