Thought Leadership Article + Case Study
- Thought leadership article for industry trade publication, Doors + Hardware Magazine, to address a growing concern across the country: safety in our schools.
- Topic focused on helping educational end-users select the best access control system to meet the needs of their facility today – and in the future as they expand and/or renovate facilities.
- After this project’s conclusion, the mini-case study mentioned in this article was expanded to create a separate written piece for the Hager blog.
This was a ghostwritten article for a trade publication, Doors + Hardware Magazine. Hager had recently released a product, Hager HS4 by Salto, that provided different lockdown capabilities than their competitors, yet the tone of the article needed to be informative, not promotional.
While the primary goal was to help educational end-users (board members and other decision-makers) understand the various access control systems available, a secondary goal for the client was to weave their exclusive product into the copy – which was also achieved.
During this project, interviews were conducted with various Hager Company team members and a distributor, based in Texas, where the Hager HS4 access control system was installed in a newly constructed high school performance art center. The mini case study used in the article was later turned into a full case study, as the interview yielded enough detail to do so.
